About Aztec Rental 

Celebrating 53 years in Business, Aztec Rental Center first opened its doors in June of 1966. Founders Lester and Wanda Sorsby started the business as the first A to Z Rental franchise in Houston. The store was originally intended to be a sideline business, but it did not take Lester long to realize the potential in this rental industry.

In 1969, the A to Z franchise disbanded and Lester and Wanda changed the name to Aztec Rental Center, Inc. For the first few years of business, Aztec Rental operated as a "Mom and Pop" company with the Sorsby's and their 3 children keeping the doors open. Then, In the early 80's the business took a huge leap when the construction boom hit the Houston area and helped accelerate Aztec Rentals rapid growth. 

In 1983 Lester realized how big the market for construction was and opened a second branch store located in Sugar Land and Lesters vision would shine through once again. As Houston expanded outward in the early 90's, the Sugar Land market exploded with construction.

Today, Aztec Rental is one of the largest and most complete independant equipment rental operations in South Texas. Aztec continues to expand its rental fleet and has also expanded into new equipment sales by partnering with many industry leading manufacturers.

There are currently ten family members, spanning three generations, involved in the every day business operations. With over five decades of knowledge and experience we are confident we have the ability to get you the equipment you need to get any job done. We take great pride in customer service and stop nothing short of satisfying our customers in every aspect of our business.
