Founded in 1966 by Lester and Wanda Sorsby, Aztec Rental Center has proudly served the Greater Houston area for over almost 6 decades. What began as the first A to Z Rental franchise in Houston quickly grew into a thriving business, thanks to Lester's vision and the family’s unwavering commitment to quality service.

In 1969, after the A to Z franchise disbanded, Lester rebranded the business as Aztec Rental Center, Inc. With a strong focus on customer satisfaction and a dedication to providing top-notch rental equipment, Aztec Rental Center soon became a trusted name in the industry.

A Legacy of Growth and Service

Starting as a small, family-owned operation, Aztec Rental Center has grown to become one of the largest independent equipment rental companies in South Texas. The company’s expansion was fueled by the booming construction industry in the 1980s, and in 1983, Aztec opened a second location in Sugar Land to meet growing demand. The area’s rapid development boosted Aztec’s position as a leader in the rental business.

This accelerated growth also led to the creation of their sister company, Any Occasion Tents & Events, opening its doors in early 2000. Specializing in high-quality tents and event rentals, this division quickly became the go-to provider for weddings, corporate events, and private gatherings. By offering a comprehensive range of event rental solutions, Any Occasion Tents & Events earned a reputation for exceptional quality, reliability, and customer service in the event rental industry.
